Aztec Anyone?

♥♥Mr Price♥♥

The Aztec trend seems to be doing its rounds, I’ve at least seen one piece of Aztec in majority of our major retailers. Retailers are even doing Aztec on accessories i.e. bags & headgear. But its quiet obvious that Mr Price would completely run with this trend and I found such great pieces. Its such an easy print to wear and really does give you that funky edge. What do you think about this Aztec Trend?

Adderley Hotel in Cape Town

So Hubby and I had attended a Marriage Enrichment sessions at our church which is held yearly. This would be our  first time we could participate and it was really amazing. So after the sessions we normally have something called a wedding banquet which you and your partner dress up and attend a fantastic evening with eats and drinks and spend it with other married couples as well. The event was at The Adderly Hotel in Cape Town, and without a doubt the evening was magical, the weather was perfect and food was great.
I’ve added some pictures… Trust you guys had a fantastic weekend!
My armbands and earrings are from “Woman’s Street” they have the most
adorable accessories available…

October Favourites

So I really wanted to share with you all my favourite products for October. Some of them I literally carry with me in my bag, so I use them on a dailly basis.
To me a great product consist of scent, substance/texture and results:

The Revlon Nail Care, is an amazing product with a really nice scent. It’s a De-aging Hand cream with SPF 10 who would argue with that. I seem to have this on my desk at work regulary as its absorbes easily and is really not greasy. Great product for the summer especially with our climate.

Garner Even Pure lemon Essence- it’s a really good face wash that I’m using at the moment, great texture and has a silky smooth effect. Will give a full review, in a couple of weeks.

Ponds Perfect Complexion, I have started trying out this product as I have an uneven skintone. It does though feel rather dry when you rub into your skin, but I love the way it minimises the uneven skin colour. It does not work overnight so don’t get discourged when you don’t see results within first week. Keep at it

This lipbalm from woolworths are great as it gives your lips that refreshed look without that sticky effect. With Olive and argan oil it really pampers and nourishes your lips. It has a rather vanilla scent, I’m not complaining at all.

Let me know what your favourite products are would really love to try them?

Look Of The Day

So I had promised my niece that I would take her to the Strawberry Farm. My niece Carla being 2 turning 3 in about 2 weeks time, remembers everything I tell her, so I definitely could not get out this one. We took an afternoon drive to the Strawberry Farm, it was quiet hot and humid. But other than that it was actually quiet fun! So I’ve added some pictures of our day!

So this was my “Look Of The Day”, summer is rearing near so I love the fact that I can go all out with colour & of course with this being Breast Cancer Awareness month- Why not?

♥♥♥The Swan Top is by Fashion Express, Coloured Jean & Colour Blocking wedge by Mr Price, Pink Mirror Watch by Sportscene♥♥♥

I have even added a picture of nieces cute neon pink colour sandals, they are so so cute. We were definitely matching with the bright pink… Totally not planned at all!

Santa Shoebox Project*

Today as I was driving to work, I heard  on the radio about this fantastic initiative “Santa Shoe Box Project”. It’s really amazing that you can actually do something amazing for  1 or more underprivileged children. The gift of giving! Bliss….

Just think about, you will be putting a smile on a little girl or boys face. So I went to the website: and signed up right away!

Just a little info:
So the Santa Shoebox Project originated in Cape Town in 2006 and since then, the project has grown in leaps and bounds and the number of Santa Shoeboxes has grown from a humble 180 boxes in 2006 to 70 489 in 2011.

Its really easy! All you do is, entered your details like a email address etc so that that the organisation could send your details and send you the information regarding how the shoe box should look and the labels as to how to detail it for you special child. You then have the option of choosing whether you would want it to be a girl or boy and the age category as well as the spots where to drop of the shoe box!

I am really excited as I'll be blessing a little girl named Tamia aged 9.

Sound Easy! Yes, because it is* For more information go to the website and sign up!
Let me know of any other awesome initiates that you will be joining?

My Hair Journey!!!

I have the worst track record when is concerning my hair. I defy every rule there is when it comes to Hair Care. I dry my hair on High heat without any heat resistant product. I use my GHD endlessly and colour my hair recklessly. Trust me when I say I have been every colour on the rainbow and it has been fun, until now….
After all this torture I had put my hair through only now do I realize why, hair care is such an important factor when it comes to the health and simply maintaining your hair…
My hair is completely died out, damaged and has so many split ends.

I have been using the below products for about a couple of weeks and can really see the difference it has to my hair. Note:  that this is however not an overnight process, I still have a long way to go. After about 3 applications of the hair mask did, I only start feeling and seeing a difference. I am also trying to reduce the amount of heat that I am using on my hair. Precaution is definitely better than cure.
The misperception is that when going blonde you are damaging your hair, yes that is without a doubt true. But when colouring your hair any colour damages your hair not just blonde. Going blonde or lighter however does make your split ends or damaged parts more noticeable.

I am currently using the Shampoo and Conditioner (For Colour Treated Hair) from Revlon and the Hair Mask from Clicks. That evening I went out to a birthday party all natural, using a heat resistant product for extra protection. I am now more aware than ever that it takes loads of effort and smart decisions regarding your hair care routine in orders for you to feel the difference.

What’s your hair care secret?
