Summer is almost here in full swing and what better way to celebrate is with some stunning new swimwear!!
Lifestyle and fashion brand, Cotton On Body, reveals its fruity October swimwear with the launch of an active-swim range. Taking inspiration from healthy lifestyles, the Poolside Paradise collection features a blend of cheeky prints, bright and bold pops of colour, retro shapes and a mix and match approach to swimwear.
Cotton On Body is launching something new this season. In surfer and scuba-influenced fabrics like neoprene and mesh, with functional, sports-inspired detail, this range is designed with an active lifestyle in mind. Whether it’s paddle boarding, surfing or a morning beach run, these pieces combine the best elements of swimwear and simple activewear. Think: industrial zips, high necks and racer backs.
Pineapples and palm trees
Synonymous with sand between your toes, sun on your skin and salt in your hair, there is nothing more appropriate to turn up the heat on your summer holiday than some sweet, tropical fruit!
“This year’s take on the tropical print is all about exotic fronds and fruit. It’s an edgy and playful alternative to feminine florals,” says Maria Strangio, Cotton On Body swimwear buyer.
Fun and fruity prints include the bold, all-over palm print; the pineapple motif (either as a strong graphic icon or stamped across a garment) and fruit-flavoured slogans.
Shapes and silhouettes
“We know our girl loves to hit the beach looking hot,” says Maria. “From girly to edgy, Cotton On Body has shapes to suit all bikini babes.”
• Girly glamour rules poolside this season with rouching, frills and fringing
• It’s a blast from the past and a return to retro beach attire with balconette booster tops and high waist bottoms
• Strapping and cut out designs – keep a look out for criss-cross straps, wrapped at the waist in separates and side cut outs and plunging necklines on one pieces
Sea foam is the new black
This spring / summer, it’s all about vibrancy! Bright and bold pops of solid colour coordinated with tropical foliage, floral and tribal botanical prints.
“Influenced by the ‘90s, pastels are also big and the hero colour for spring is sea foam,” says Maria. As the weather heats up, so does the palette - towards the end of the season we’ll see juicy pops of melon and coral.
