Dove: Nourishment + More for Summer

Oils have the power to transform dull, dry hair to make it sublimely silky, while nourishing every strand, however this is often at the cost of greasy, flat hair that feels weighed down. “Oils have been used for centuries in hair care since they provide countless benefi ts including smoothness, softness, strength and protection. Traditional oil treatments are based on vegetable oils like coconut and olive oil, which can often make hair look and feel greasy and sticky. Dove Pure Care Dry Oil treatments are different.
The advanced ingredients absorb quickly into the hair strand to nourish and pamper with a weightless, non-greasy finish. We are proud to say that women with dry, dull hair can now have soft, nourished hair with up to 5x silkiness, every day.”
The Hair-Happy Botanical Oils found in Advanced Hair Series include:
Anatolian Pomegranate Seed Oil, African Macadamia Oil, Coconut Oil, Sunflower Oil & Sweet Almond Oil.
TOP TIPS for beautiful shine
1 Oils and ageing hair: Ageing hair lacks lipids, which results in dryness. Apply an oil treatment weekly to help replenish lipids.
2. Smart cleaning: Focus the application of shampoo onto the roots of your hair, which is the oiliest area. The length of your hair will be washed as the shampoo runs down during rinsing.
3. A heated treatment: If you are going to sit in the sauna at gym, why
don’t you apply a rich treatment to your hair like Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Treatment Mask, cover with a plastic shower cap and sit in the sauna for 10-15 minutes. The heat helps open up your cuticles to aid treatment penetration.
4. A cooling effect: Post washing and conditioning your hair, rinse your head under cold water, this causes the hair cuticles to seal back down onto the hair fibre- making hair smoother.
5. Quick treatment enhancement: Add a pump of the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Treatment Oil to your favourite conditioner or mask to boost its nourishing properties.
6. Added radiance for colour treated hair: Applying Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Treatment
Oil to coloured hair will ensure smoother, more radiant hair.
7. Pre-wash nourishment: For extra shine, apply Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Treatment Oil liberally to your hair before washing. Massage into the scalp and leave on for 30 minutes
before shampooing.
8. Heat protection: Dove Pure Care Dry Oils help protect hair from the stresses caused by blow-drying, but if you use heat appliances, like straightening or curling tongs,
always use a protective spray just before styling. Always blow dry from at least 20 cm away from your head, and down along the hair shaft, this forces the cuticles to lie flat, thus smoothing the hair fibre.

  1. Do not comb your hair while it's wet and try avoid Blow drying your hair, it's much better to let your hair dry naturally , especially in summer. Use a shampoo and conditioner that suites your hair type is very important.

  5. Always use conditioner to moisturize your hair and keep those locks looking radiant and healthy. Use a wide tooth comb when combing out your hair. The biggest mistake we make when combing out hair that we start from top to bottom when in fact we should start from bottom to top so that ur hair doesn't tangle and fall out badly.

  6. Mix 1 tbsp of gelatin and 6 tbsp warm water and whisk slowly. Wash hair as normal, slather gelatine all over and. Leave for 15 mins and then wash hair.

  7. HOW TO DISGUISE REGROWTH: Try a crown braid, where you braid the hair around your hairline into a hair band/alice band and pin it down with bobby pins – it completely hides the signs of regrowth. If that sounds too bohemian for your taste, any tied up hairstyle will make it less obvious too.
